Wedding's over kids, but OH was it good!!!

Before this turns into the Ward Family blog, I wanted to say a HUGE thank you for our wedding! It's over now but we still talk about it almost every time we get together with friends!! It was such an amazing day!!! So good to see all our friends and family, and share our home with you. I'm shaking my head because I still can't figure out how we pulled off such an awesome party. Thanks to everybody that helped set up, decorate, serve food, pour drinks, cleanup, serenade everyone into the night, and all the rest!!!! We love you all and hope you can share in our happiness for years to come. (we will have to plan a Ward wedding reunion party for sure ;o)

Coupons

Here is the link to a website where you can purchase half price coupons for places here in town and in nearby cities. (restaurants, hotels, etc.) It's through our local newspaper and is just a way for some places to advertize and stir up business. They change every now and again, but check it out, there may be some for places you are interested in going while you are in town for the wedding.

-make sure you verify what town they are in as some go as far as Daytona.

Parking for the reception

Our neighbors directly to the north, the Apostolic Church, have graciously offered their parking lot to our wedding guests for the reception. We will have a sign but you won't be able to miss it. Parking may be limited so carpooling is suggested.

Dress Code- Beach Formal

Definitions of Beach Formal:
1. Something formal, but light and comfortable and easy to walk around with
2. Garden party attire

i.e. flowy dresses for the women and linen slacks for the men with pressed shirts
Shoes: I would suggest something really comfortable, since you will be in sand on the beach and then in our back garden for the remainder of the party. Sandals are perfect!! The bride may even
break down and sport a pair of flipflops ;o)

One little detail- Time

It's been brought to my attention that the date and time is not on the blog. Just a silly little detail that I'll clear up right now ;o) The wedding will be at Golden Sands Beach Saturday, May 2nd at 5pm. The reception will be at 6pm at the house. (This info will also be on the invitations. Which will be going out closer to the end of the month)

Feel free to email me if you have any other questions a_crouch@comcast.net

Ceremony Location/Directions

We are getting married on Golden Sands Beach.......partly because the name sounds better on an invitation than 'Wabasso Beach' but mostly because it is beautiful and it's one of the bridesmaids favorites. (Love you Kerrie ;o)

The reception will be held at OUR house :o) 1906 27th Ave, Vero Beach, FL 32960:

It's very easy to find and central to most things in town. Can't wait to see you all here!!!!

Registry

Our registry is online at WhatToGive.com. You can find it at: http://wedding.whattogive.com/index.php?screen_width=1118&screen_width=1112

Put in my email address (a_crouch@comcast.net) and our registry will pop up. We have thought of a few things to put on there...... but it's still a work in progress :o)

Adult Reception

There will be an adult reception following the ceremony on the beach. Considering we live in Florida, some people might take this opportunity to use some vacation time with the whole family. Let me know if this is something you are planning and we can talk about helping you make arrangements for the kids. a_crouch@comcast.net or 772-321-4207

Luck o the Irish

Last night we bought plane tickets for our Irish honeymoon!!! We got a great deal through Aer Lingus and it's starting to feel like we are really getting there. Only 102 days til the wedding!
We leave for the honeymoon 2 days after the wedding, Monday, May 4th and fly into Dublin for almost 2 weeks worth of road tripping. I know we both have family over there, so we are hoping someone in the family has a way to contact them. Maybe we'll drop in for a pint or a spot of tea while on our adventures. Please let me know if you have any information that would help. a_crouch@comcast.net or 772-321-4207

Hotels & Such

Ok, well I'll put these into three categories:

"Who comes to Florida to hang out in a hotel- I just need a bed"

Life For Youth Ranch- It's a non-profit camp that my parents used to work at. It's approx. 20 minutes from the beach. They don't have a group in that week and they have 19 cabins on property with 7 bunkbeds in each. They have agreed to let our guests stay for $25 cleaning fee plus a donation per cabin. You will need to provide your own linens (i.e. towel, sleeping bag, pillow, comforter) If you are interested in staying here, let me know and I will help set it up. This is first come, first serve deal so don't wait too long. They are offering the rooms for Friday and Saturday but depending on your arrival, we may be able to extend this to include a Thursday or a Sunday.

"Relax, It's Holiday Inn"

For the middle of the road kinda traveler

And then there's Luxury or just a little something more :o)

There are plenty other options out there so Google Vero Beach Hotels or feel free to ask us. At this time, none of the hotels I called were able to offer an additional discount for wedding guests, but I will keep you posted as I continue to search.
